LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT I WAS LAYING THE GROUND WORK FOR WHAT WOULD BECOME THE WILDEST RIDE OF MY LIFE!
Being a film buff, I became an active volunteer of the Reno Film Festival, where I pre-screened and judged short films. When it was time to look into college, I knew I wanted to do something relating film and audio seemed to be the perfect fit. I picked up my life, flew to the other side of the country and attended Full Sail University where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Recording Arts.
Shortly after graduating from Full Sail, I moved to Los Angeles to turn my dreams into a reality. I worked on everything from school projects, short films, animation, and indie shorts until finally, I landed my first Sound Design gig at a small studio in Burbank.
It was my time to shine and that's exactly what I did. In my first year working on various cartoons, I was nominated for a Golden Reel and a Daytime Emmy! Being nominated definitely validated that I was on the right path and opened more doors than I ever could've ever imagined.
Fast forward another year and not only was I nominated again, but this time I won! When I first moved here, I never dreamed that any of this would be possible. I count myself lucky everyday to be able to do what I love.
